During phase transformation process from beta to alpha phase, at higher cooling the lath should grow in a specific direction, what is that direction ?

Alpha orientation can be similar to the orientation of grain boundary alpha (GBA) or completely different from that, depending on cooling rate, diffusion rate, and interface stability. As cooling rate increases the GBA/beta interface becomes more unstable, thus the former precipitation mechanism is more likely to occur.
