zigbee has two models . one is 1mW and other is 2mW.
I am working on a project which make use of zigbee 1mw antenna. i choose it because it is easy to configure. But what is the main difference in antenna specifications ?
Is this referring to the antenna or the module? Normally antennas do have power ratings indicating a damage level, but that's not likely to be in the mW range. You typically only see that sort of rating for test antennas and high power systems where users need to decide if something can handle hundreds or thousands of Watts of power.
Most likely these are two different transmit power ratings of the module itself, where the second has twice the power (3 dB more power) of the first. That translates to sqrt(2) or ~1.4X more range in a free-space line of sight condition where all other factors (antennas, propagation environment, etc.) are kept the same .
