I am making a project on power theft detection and monitoring system. Wireless protocol i am using is zigbee 802.15.4. three devices of zigbee are being used. but i need to monitor the location of power theft without using second micro controller or arm processor.
i am attaching my hand made block diagram for reference.
can gps be used ? if yes, then how ?
My suggestion Naveed would be,
1. Since zigbee transmitter sends some packets , I will presume there is a host where it gets logged onto ?
Why not use the device id as a location reference (software stack /api's I am sure you have ...)
2. MAC of zigbee (you have to do mapping , host side )
3.Worst case: There is a secure connectivity key -say if it is public use it as a locator !!
GPS - then has to be associated every transmitter , micro-controllers provide the interface (lat,long) will be given by the sentences of GPS receiver. (this complicates the integration ) .
Long story short you have a trade-off .

i can use the id of meter and transmit it through zigbee,,so microcontrollers will id the zigbee instead ?
No Naveed not the id of the meter , certainly can be used !!
The bare Zigbee if you plan to use then there is lotzzz that needs to be done for setting it up.
So I would encourage you to looking at modules.

The software /stub is configured for a master-slave functioning isn't it ? The studio allows you to configure your unit .
