In his dissertation, A.B. Naumov (Tomsk, Russia, 2004) pointed to specific features of the biological carbon cycle of wetland ecosystem - presence of a “small inner C-cycle”, due to the operation of which is formed by more than 60% of the net primary production. This is confirmed by comparing the values of the gas flow in the wetland ecosystem with the amount of formed during the growing season of the plant matter. Shown the main reason for the discrepancy of these streams - the presence of the inner C-cycle, which return Carbon to the ecosystem, not allowing it to dissipate into the atmosphere.
