If space is created during creation / formation of Universe, Energy must have been consumed for it. Is this energy stored in space as a potential energy form? Any details of information available in this regards?
Space has no energy.
On the contrary, you have to spend some energy in order to excite the space. For example, to excite a photon - an element of the surrounding space.
At the least if dark energy is explained by nonzero cosmo constant space has energy.

To explain the nonzero cosmo constant is no need to consider a mythical dark energy. The energy of stars and movement of galaxies should be enough for expansion of the universe. The dough left by the hostess in a warm place rises, increases in volume over time without any dark energy. Because of special chemical reactions but not of energy of space.
