If a researcher fills a self-administered questionnaire by asking questions from some of the respondents(less educated or uneducated), while majority of respondents fill questionnaire themselves, will the method be called survey questionnaire or structured interviews?
The method remains survey questionnaire. In effect, you would elaborate this in the method section in, for example, this way: Majority (n or %) self-administered the questionnaire while a few (n or %) were interviewed or assisted (due to low education).
still it is survey questionnaire but if it is filled by the researcher due to illiteracy of participants or low educational level , it is interviewed but if it is filled by the study participants it is self-administered questionnaire
If your data are the content of the answers on the questionnaireonly , call it survey questionnaires (whether they fill it themselves or they have somone fill their answers for them). If you plan to use some of the 'interview dynamics' as part of your data, I would tend to call that 'structured interviews'., for example, if you are planning to comment on some non-verbal communication, pauses between answers, hand gestures, etc.
You should look into the idea of a "mixed mode" survey, since some of your data was obtained through face to interviews and some through self-completed questionnaires.
The data from structured interviews, as opposed to research-administered questionnaires, would be more focused on open ended participant responses or as David suggested, researcher observations of some aspect of the questionnaire administration process.
The use of the term "self- administered" has caused a lot of confusion. Strictly all questionnaires should be self-administered. Once we begin to interview respondents then it is a structured interview or an interview schedule.
