Here, Course load mean the number of credit hours you are teaching only?
E.g. my (Associate Professor) course load is 6 credit hours, In IIUI, Pakistan so usually I will have to teach two courses of 3 credits each per weak. As being member of few departmental committees that is different and the research output e.g. there is no load reduction on the basis of publication or having funded project.
WHAT DO you people think in universities that there should be some course load relaxation on the basis of the research output or project funding's? or what is case in your university?
The course load in King Abdulazeez Universit, jeddah, Saudi Arabia as an assistance professor is 14 credit a week. The department accounts the office work as 3 credits maximum. The research paper does not counted as load however advising graduate students account as a credit per student
