What is better using CFD or CFX to simulate axial flow pumps using Fluent and why?
Dear Ahmed,
I think CFX is better to simulate axial flow pumps using Fluent, because there is moving part.

Basim
ANSYS CFX is doing substantially better and more robust with any kind of turbomachinery flow (i.e. including pumps). ANSYS Fluent did never very well with moving interfaces between static and rotating subdomains.

Ansys CFX is good for turbomachinery components. So it is better to simulate an axial pump in CFX rather than fluent
Hello
As the researchers said it's better to use CFX software for turbomachinary simulation due to high capability of CFX in this matter.
fluent also good however CFX more better check my work for CFD simulation of axail flow turbine blades using CFX 2008.
