to obtain PRP you can centrifuge blood sample at 180gx15-20' and importantly use NO brake settings at the centrifuge. To have PRP sterile I suggest to open blood tubes under a tissue culture hood.
I use 100 x g for 10 minutes without any brakes in the centrifuge... just take commercial citrated tubes for blood collection and work under a sterile bench to have sterile conditions....
Dear Mohamed, we use 200 x g for 15 min, NO brake and room temperature (never cold) at the centrifuge. We open the tubes under tissue culture hood to have sterile conditions.
Ah, ok, so it is a clinical setting. We have done autologous PRP (even very highly concentrated) with the TRIMA Accel for such reasons, but only in very small numbers. However, this works fine! Problem: You need expensive equipment! And your patient needs to be fit enough for an extra corporal circulation at the cell separator.
