The full text has been posted on BioRxiv. I'm not sure what journals out there would be suitable to send this to since it's a simple report of a one off case rather than a true research finding. But it's still important to have it formally recorded in some sort of zoological literature. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Journal of Mammalogy (it's a case study indeed, but if you put in in a wider context, I think it's ok), problem might be (for all journals) that the research is in a way not original anymore, as you published it online.
Thanks for the responses. I did look into both journals but could not afford the publication fees. I finally sent it to a BMC journal however, and it should come out in the next month.
Ah, I didn't know about publication fees for Journal of Mammalogy! Anyway, BMC is okay, and when it's out, I'd like to have a pdf
