I am sure you already know, but keep in mind that you can find excellent luminescence facilities and people not far from Munich (e.g.: Köln, Bayreuth, Leipzig…). If you want, have a look to my papers (see my RG page) about the sites at Gruta da Oliveira (Portugal) or Cueva Antón (Spain).

Hi Simon, we can separate heavy minerals and do provenance analysis. Than we have zircons which easily give you ages of all volcanic sources and how much recycling (erosion) took place in the evolution of this landscape...

I would suggest post-IR IRSL K-feldspar dating: worked fine for the Middle to Late Pleistocene Rhine in The Netherlands.

Beside feldspar and the other mentionned methods you may can use 21Ne (stable cosmogenic nuclide) in quartz, as this method requires quite small amounts of sample (ca. 2-5g), which can probably picked up from a depth profile in your terrace. Additionally, also some other minerals like olivine could be dated by this method.

For an introduction you can have a lokk e.g. to: Wagner, W.A. (2013): Age Determination of Young Rocks and Artifacts: Physical and Chemical Clocks in Quaternary Geology and Archaeology...

As far as there are no directly related lava flows or ashes, U-Pb ages of zircon, apatite, rutile, and titanite are not suitable for absolute dating. They provide information about the provenance and the maximum age of sedimentation (youngest mineral = maximum age).
