Some articles confuse the two subjects. I need to find out if they can be used interchangeably. If not, what is the difference between the two?

A summary is a brief statement of something longer or bigger. You can summarize an article, a paragraph, a section, even a book. An abstract is the section at the beginning of an article that contains a summary of it. So, ” abstract” is rather a technical term and belongs to the metalanguage of research publication. The abstract section is usually a section that summarizes the entire study up to 250 words.
I can say that the Summary part is evaluated separately from the sections in the entire study, such as Extended Abstact.
