I would like to know a good reference (text book and/or library c) of how to adjust/align 2D images.
I am using Dynamic Time Warping to align 2D images along one axis, but I would like to make a multi-dimensional adjustment. I also need the shift matrix associate to this alignment.
If you're attempt to align a series of images over time when either your point of reference is moving (such as from a boat) or the sample is moving, I recommend starting with Matlab's image processing toolbox which is functional enough to test any theories. Then I would consider writing custom software specific to your research.

Thank you for your answer, but I need something that I could incorporate in another program. I looking for some scheme our procedure that I can implement, or even better a library, that I could use to adjust two matrices (floating point) and discover the time shift between them.
