What is a good "lab group managing software"? I experienced Trello, Asana, and a little Lab Guru but all have shortcomings...

I believe there could be a good project managing software (or website) that can be tailored to the more specific issues of a research laboratory activity. I have been using Trello and Asana for a while, but they are fairly business oriented (although very helpful). My students tested Lab Guru and didn't like it. Any suggestion?

It's a web-based lab notebook for documentation and sharing of results. It's really well-priced for groups of researchers (perfect for a university research group) and with a free trial period.
