I am struggling to find a good inclusive (overall) term to refer to distinct learning opportunities such as lectures, case-work, small-group discussions etc..
In my sense those are more than methods, but not learning environments, yet (especially since complex learning environments can be composed of more than one of them, e.g. in Problem-based learning, where you combine small-group collaborative case-work with other learning opportunities such as a lecture or a seminar).
Possible solutions could be 'learning opportunities', 'instructional elements', 'modes of instruction',..... However, are there any other good terms to use (preferably with reference)?
