Subject performed triceps push-down exercise till task failure. Triceps were observed during the experiment using sEMG. The concentric phase (when the elbow is extending) definitely contains the information of interest. My question is, in this particular experiment, what information does the eccentric phase (when elbow is flexing) contain.

is it worthy to explore the eccentric phase? My aim is to analyze fatigue in the triceps.
