I am trying to write my first review paper. I don't have much knowledge about writing it. If you could provide me with some valuable points, I would be very thankful.

I believe writing a review paper is a missionary job where we help the scientific community to find information on specific issues at one point. Writing a review paper is just a story that starts from scratches to the latest developments in the field supported by concrete evidence.
I will give you some points based on my experience:
1. Search first for all the reviews available in your topic to avoid repeating the same thing and check what is the missing in the available reviews.
2. Try to put all the researches in your review from good quality journals or publishers such as IEEE, Springer and SciencDirect.
3. Try to summarize the papers (researches) in an organized way like tables, and make a comparison among them, show the differences and similarities among them.
4. Try to put at the end of the review some future trends or current problems in your topic.
Here is my last review, you can have a look to understand the previous points clearly:
Article Multi-Criteria Review-Based Recommender System – The State of the Art
It is important to clarify the selection criteria for the articles that will constitute your review. On the other hand, in relation to what "you must keep in mind", it is essential to write thinking of the readers. Obviously other researchers will rely on your review if you provide them with the evolutionary path of the subject in question.
