What impacts do urbanization and land use change have on estuarine, coastal, and marine biodiversity, and in what capacity can approach and practice be incorporated to guarantee that these impacts are moderated?
The population along with domesticated animals needs to be retained in certain zones where some additional practices should be followed to moderate the effects.
There is a book on Management Measures associated with the US Coastal Zone Management Act. The MMs are much like BMPs, designed to help to minimize or moderate effects by adjusting activity, such as providing vegetated or forested stream, riparian buffers. The book addresses most land uses and activities. If you cannot find by searching the internet, send me a note and I will try. Search on Coastal Zone Management Act and look for management measures developed by EPA.
