Dear colleagues,

I am following a synthesis protocol for chitosan-functionalized silver nanomaterials where the pH is adjusted using ammonia water and HNO3 to achieve pH 5.0 for spherical particles. However, the concentration of HNO3 used for pH adjustment is not specified in the methodology.

Could anyone with experience in similar silver nanoparticle synthesis advise what concentration of HNO3 is typically used for pH adjustment in these systems?

Any guidance or relevant references would be greatly appreciated.
