We have run several TGAs to determine the graphene concentration in an aqueous system. With a run by oxygen, I have a higher rate of change in mass in the range of 430-510 C degrees, with its peak at 500 C. But I cannot see what happened to surfactant (Consists of mostly hydrocarbons in it chemical composition). Isn't it supposed burn away somewhere between 250-500 C degrees. And, what would be the burning away range of graphene (1% oxygen content) under the oxygen flow. Finally, I still do not understand why nitrogen is not a good choice when decomposing graphene?
