I faced difficulty of analysis and interpretation of raw data of PXRD presented in "ras", "asc" and "raw" forms. Three of the files attached are PXRD data for one soil sample.
There are various softwares which you can use to analyze your PXRD data, those are FullProf, Jana2006, Maud, Match, X'pert high score plus, UnitCell, Powder, Origin, JCPDS and many more

I am a beginner. Technicians simple gave me the raw data. Is the procedure of analysis too long? I need a single best free software that I can use. Your comment please.
Hello,
First open Origin software and import the XRD data having .ras extension. Remove character text and plot the graph of the XRD data and convert data into .dat format. After plotting the data match the observed peak with standard XRD pattern of the soil sample. To get standard XRD pattern you can download cif file from Crystallographic Open Database.

Do you mean the analysis result has some problems? I am not familiar with this XRD analysis. Please let me know if there is analysis problem in my samples.
I think some soil sample may contain very few clay fractions. The calcite you mentioned is also one of clay minerals.
Please let you see another sample attached here to decide whether the data has error or not. This new sample has high clay content by hydrometer method of soil texture analysis. What about its mineralogy?

I have PXRD data for 14 soil samples. You have seen already PXRD data for 2 of these 14 samples.
Do you think these PXRD data cannot fulfill publication standard? I mean, are these data acceptable for publication?

Dear Doriana; thanks for your reply and I am struggling through that list to find a one that can read RAW files!!! I guess I have to convert those file to another RAS; is that feasible ?
