Hello, I am working with gold nanoparticles for biosensor development. I've read several nanoparticle modification protocols via nhs / edc where the nanoparticle concentration used is in OD terms. In particular they suggest to use a 20 OD concentration. I do not understand if OD is the same as absorbance, since it is impossible to measure 20 of absorbance in the spectrophotometer. What exactly does OD mean?
