Thanks but I think you are both missing the point. It can be easily observed that men are aroused by nudity and genitals because they use porn and comment on such things in everyday life. Men are also aroused by opportunities for intercourse because they will do almost anything to get sex and run almost any risk to obtain penetration from a partner. The point is that the situation of the person receiving the thrusting penis is very different. I think the fact that two men have tried to answer a question about female arousal is very telling. Men think they know it all and women keep silent. Hence the sexual ignorance in our society. My conclusion is that women are not aroused by real-world erotic triggers. They often assume that they are aroused by emotional and relationship factors but this is impossible. Orgasm is a response to eroticism. I have found orgasm occurs through masturbation because of the use of erotic fantasy. I am asking women (and any lovers of women who have real information from their lovers) to tell me how they are erotically aroused with a lover. It is a trick question in fact because I know from decades of experience that it is impossible. But women's silence on this topic is telling. Turn-ons do not have to be personal to one person. They can also be typical of a group of people. This is certainly true for men. But most women never experience true arousal and so they do not know how it is achieved. What voices? No one has anything to say. Can you name any female erotic turn-ons with a lover? Just because you don't know the answer doesn't mean you have the right to be negative. Women have very little to say about any aspect of sexuality. So men seem to think they have the right to speak on women's behalf. But if women don't know the answer to these questions, then how can men know? No one wants to know. People want to assume that women have orgasms like magic. Regarding bodily sensations, emotions, etc., people are often mistaken about their causes. Unconscious forces may be at play. To take a different example, I may believe, say, that X's face made me laugh, but that may just be because it fits a narrative I assume about myself; unselfconscious rationalization is ubiquitous.

(2) Secondly, I presume you are not claiming that arousal is unnecessary for orgasm, but merely that the source of the arousal is not emotional and relationship factors (which you equate with "real-world erotic triggers", a phrase I consider to be conceptually messy). Anyway, I disagree with the generalization (based on a false narrative?), but might be open to agreeing to "often" or "more often than not".

Thanks Karl for commenting. I find it odd that only men show any interest in female orgasm. Women do not seem to have a similar interest in male orgasm. As someone who has both a vagina and a clitoris, let me say that I have considerably more authority than any man has on this topic. You are not quoting any research but merely sexual ignorance based on male wishful thinking in the population. Male arousal is clearly associated with EROTIC real-world triggers which includes opportunities for intercourse and almost any part of the female body (or male body for gay men). My personal experience (and what I observe in men) is that orgasm has nothing to do with a lover or a relationship. Orgasm occurs as a mental response to erotic stimuli that cause the arousal that can then be release by the appropriate stimulation. It is a fairly reliable process and the fact that women have nothing to say on the topic is an indication of the fact that very few women are responsive. They do not orgasm by any means. Orgasm is not just a result of physical stimulation (which you should well know as a man) but depends on the mind being aroused. No erection = no orgasm for men. The erection of the penis is caused by the brain responding to eroticism by sending blood to the genitals. My experience of masturbation is similar but with a lover there is no arousal. Hence why no one can explain female arousal. Women themselves confuse emotional feelings for what men are calling arousal - a mental response to eroticism (not just fantasy but any thought that relates to eroticism). Another anecdote - men are said to think about sex every nine seconds... but no one says how often women think about sex.

The erectile/orgasmic landscape is not as well defined as you imagine it to be. There are matters of degree and those pesky borderline cases. And arousal or erection can begin before it acquires a sexual or erotic interpretation. Waking up with an erection in the morning may lead to subsequent stimulation (whether solitary or partnered) accompanied by erotic imaginings but such erections aren't necessarily caused by them.

Thus, No Orgasm in Women.

I am challenging both the premises maybe via(dream orgasm) and other forms of Orgasms may also exist.

The point about erotic fiction is that the female orgasms that are portrayed in erotic fiction are not supported by any research findings nor are they compatible with any facts or logic. They are based on the male desire for a female response to stimulation that men provide.
