I am following literature in which I am told to wash my sample with water for three times after centrifugation. I am extremely confused in this regard, should I filter the separated material and then wash with water? or should I wash it in the centrifuge? if so then kindly do mention how because I have tried it twice and after second centrifugation my material becomes completely miscible in water and can not be separated further.
You should not wash your sample with a solvent in which it dissolves. What is the nature of your sample?

Abdul Wahab, the finding that your isolated material dissolved upon washing with water indicates that something went wrong in the preparation. The g-C3N4/ZIF-8 composite should form as an insoluble precipitate. This is then supposed to be isolated by centrifugation. You can then decant the supernatant and add a small amount of water for washing, then do the centrifugation again and repeat this procedure twice. In the end the g-C3N4/ZIF-8 composite should remain as insoluble residue.
