A conservative force can be expressed as a gradient of some scalar function. In other words, if the curl of the force vanishes, then the force is said to be conservative. The torque and force are also related by T =d x F, d distance, F force. Is it meaningful to speak of a curl of the torque, and if so what does it represent physically?
