Consumers’ readiness to adopt the new mode of business and the rate of access to internet and price are determining factor in case of e-commerce acceptance.
Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) can be used as research framework to assess the issue.
Most common theories on technologies adoption for developing countries may be-the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) (Davis et al. 1989), Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) (Ajzen, 1985;1991), Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) (Venkatesh et al., 2003), Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) (Rogers, 1995) and the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework (Tornatzky and Fleischer, 1990). @ Md. A Well-Planned Structure is the most important thing to do first. For an instant, any developing countries can afford internet access, but if they don't have a strong trust in their legal system, leaders, responsibility, banking system, protection of property against any foreign attack based on internet fraud, and so many other things which must be placed before introducing e-commerce ideology. If all these I have mentioned are not in place, such a country shouldn’t nudge to e-commerce, I think.
