I see nothing special in this coincidence. And do note, superconductivity is not a phenomenon that denotes any particular temperature.
I have a small disc of BSCCO that happily superconducts at above 77K.
As the photon is not charged, I don't see how it can be associated with a current - and without a current the notion of superconductivity is not applicable.

I think that your question needs more explanations for relating the things that you want to do. The redshift associated to the cosmic microwave background (CMB) is only related with the Hubble expansion of the Universe,i.e. when the early Universe expanded enough to decrease its temperature for allowing to couple protons with electrons to form hydrogen. Given that they are neutral many photons were free to form a gass which follows with the expansion. The present temperature of the CMB is around 2.7 K which is not below all the critical temperature superconductors, for instance gallium (1.1K) and aluminium (1.2K) have lower critical temperatures of CMB. But what could be the relationship between the critical temperature with the CMB temperature? There is one very subtle that I don´t know if it is related with your question. The main characteristic of the superconductors is not the non resistance (perfect conductor is also with this feature), what is fundamental and characterizes this phase is the Meissner effect or to be a very good diamagnet. That is to say, these materials at so low temperature eject photons and therefore they could produce a perturbation of the CMB. Therefore we are not speaking about losses due to currents but about how the electromagnetic field could behaves close to such materials. I don't know if this answer is related with your question but it is my only possible relationship between both phenomenon.

I note the universe is one. I accept the Emergence of the universe from much more basic components and their interaction. So, everything is related to everything else. So, I look at coincidences and ask not IF there is a relationship, but what is the relationship. Maybe new physics resides in the answer.

Thanks, I had been thinking of the current relationship. You make a very good point. Perhaps the diamagnet effect is important in galaxies to allow collapse of matter into very dense objects (black holes in spherical galaxies) and the formation of elliptical galaxies which controls the temperature of the universe (in the STOE). So, this line of thought suggests if material could no become diamagnetic, the Sink function (the STOE model) could not hunt a 2.718 K (yes, I know the current measured is 2.723 K).
