For undestanding a regressive process in analysis or therapy you need to able to follow it for a wile and then stand out from that often dissociative mood. Is it so?

Yes it's a silly question BUT it has been described so many times situations were we analyst have experienced different somatic or psychic diffusions. It has been called projective identification from the patient, often with psychosomatic disorders or a hiding psychosis

. Of course we have to know our own reactions, everything is not from the patient.
