Researcher around the world looking for developing a new, reliable and environmental friend fuel because of the threat of lack of petrol supply in future and the considerations of clean and healthy environment and green house effects.
I guess that the widespread of hydrogen-based fuels will be more in comparison with bio-fuels. The flexibility of the hydrogen production at any location, and at various scales are among my justifications.
First, biofuels use hydrogen usually - but not always - linked to carbon. So both alternatives are similar in some respects. Pure hydrogen however is not at all easy to handle in quantities that offer useful concentrations of energy - either too big, too high pressure, or too cold. So I don't think hydrogen will make the grade for general use as say a replacement for hydrocarbon fuels, whose energy density is under normal temperatures and pressures far higher.
