Dear Researcher,

We would like to invite you to contribute an article to a special issue of Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity (IF = 4.593) entitled “Antioxidant Essential Oils and Main Compounds to Treat Chronic Diseases: Current Developments and Trends”. We solicitate investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that seek to address antioxidant activity of essential oils and main compounds as important tools for the management of chronic diseases.

If you are interested in this venture, as we hope you are, please note that the topics include, but are not limited to the following:

· Identification and characterization of EO components.

· Toxicological effects of EOs: in vitro and in vivo studies.

· Bioavailability of EO components.

· Clinical or pre-clinical studies showing antioxidant properties in the treatment of chronic diseases.

· Multicenter clinical studies demonstrating its applicability in chronic diseases but molecularly describing the antioxidant properties.

· Technological strategies used to enhance its antioxidant effects in the management of chronic conditions.

· Studies on AD, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and other neurodegenerative conditions.

· Research on the potential of EOs on neglected diseases and arboviruses.
