Is it worth the effort (have the potential to attract citations, count more towards grants, job offers or tenure etc. compared to having only the non-english version), assuming that one has permisson from the original publisher for such reproduction? Could one display the translation of the original in one's CV or publication list without giving the impression of CV padding?
I think it's always worth an effort. Mainly because I could write very essential and interesting texts, but no one other than Polish researchers would understand that. Citations of course are very important, but on the other hand sharing my ideas with people from around the world is more important for me. If it comes to CV question I don't think it would give the impression of padding. In my country and research area it would be rather seen as part of my engagement in development of Polish science.
Do it. Then on your CV specify that the one is a translation of the other.
I would make it a single CV listing, but annotated with the link to the English translation.
