What do you suggest the method to prepare trimethylated lysine peptide? I have only 2 mg of peptide and methyl iodide. what I need more?
I am looking for the method is fast and not expensive and also has simple workup and purification.

I've tryed with CH3I , it never worked. the best is to use trimetylated lys at the beginning of the synthesys

I definitely agree with Prof. Mollica, better to use methylated lysine as starting material. If you want to try the methylation of the peptide, I suggest to use dimethylsulfate, which is a stronger methylating agent than iodomethane.
