Essentially, the name is self-explanatory - an electrode that can reversibly undergo bending /compression. Most commonly, a composite (i.e. using a polymeric binder for inorganic species) design would be expected, although all-polymer or organic-film-on-polymer-substrate designs are becoming very popular.
