I think, from my point of view, that we should follow up on each other 2/ Hold discussions and dialogues 3/convening conferences and international scientific seminars to ensure communication for successful scientific research 4 / answer some of the colleagues' queries
Respected Brother, Hussein Ali, it is good to hear from you from Baghdad, Your published work establishes your worth in research community. When you have some good ideas attached to your name, it opens up the opportunities to collaborate with others, makes you a contenders for project funding and above all improves your employability in higher education.
Hussien - the 'best' way to capitalise is to think beyond the conventional boundaries of academic journals. You have mentioned conferences and seminars. However, wider than that is public forums and presentations to community groups, industry and policy-makers. Thta makes it then more about 'impact' rather than just publication. Of course, as here, there is also the use of academic 'social' media - such as ResearchGate.
I think that more senior researchers and scholars always have an obligation to mentor more junior researchers and scholars. I see that as part of the reason I am on ReseachGate.
Over the coming holiday break, I also expect to be working with a couple of less-published colleagues to help them develop their papers. Yes, I may end up as a second or third author, but that is not my reason for helping them.
