I wanted to ask if this attached melt curve show an peaks. I mean, I can definitely see a few to the far left but this melt curve was for control. None of the reaction mixes contained template. In addition to this the amplification plot shows no amplification. Therefore, I'm a little puzzled as to how I should interpret the melt curve.

you probably did some mistake in pipetting, you mixed some samples/primers or pipettes are not well calibrated..if it is the control, so without sample, it should be clear and without all this unspecific picks.
if you are sure of your plate`s preparation i guess you could also consider that the machine is not calibrated properly or a new calibration is needed.

Your samples didn't amplify so what you are seeing is an artifact.
I think that you can interpret these melt curves if you send the melt curve picture of some other reactions in which they contain template. It would be helpful if you compare dT/df of melt curve of reactions with template with its pair without template. Please notice that these two compared reactions have the same pair of primers.
