I have experienced working with terminally ill patients with metastatic cancers, I wanted to share, that we all know that end is near, what I observed that pain is excruciating in cancer patients, pain never ends, and pain makes them innocent like children and they are on palliative care, comfort Care, and it is very tender experience to take care of these patients and being the part of their journey.

I have not tried this before. I think it is a very sad situation and it is difficult to see a loved one who is suffering and you know that he will die very soon.
In my field of work, I deal with many of these conditions, the feeling of these patients is difficult to describe, we must stand beside them until the last moment, there are many cases cured completely so I believe in miracles.

How you interact with terminally ill patients is different compared to other patients because you need extra patience, kindness and compassion. One needs to listen more and talk less and validate what they are going through.

You have to deal with a patient patient to be prepared to hear his fears, and you will not underestimate the value of your presence with him. Even if you do nothing at all, your mere presence sends him a positive message, never trying to be his adviser.
it is very sad experiences and distressing feeling to see your beloved ones suffering from something you have no control over it, trying your best to do anything that might help to ease their pain but no use !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In this case, sadness and frustration are the hallmarks of my feelings towards the patient.
Shock, fear and sadness. Shock at the news. Fear of death itself and the suffering that might be involved. Sadness at the loss of time with loved ones. There may be anger at the prognosis and anger at the medical staff involved. All of this may take time to unfold.
I avoid to see these people because I am afraid to feel very bad and may not control myself.

Seeing their impending death is also seeing death staring at us in the face. No one is exempted. It is our own arrogance and the false sense of security to feel sorry for the terminally ill knowing that they will die when all of us "will" also die. The only difference is "when". We too will die; the terminally ill patients will die sooner than us. They actually help us to understand our own destiny; they help us learn to accept our own death. It will come to all of us, rich or poor, we all share the same fate. The important thing is do good things when we are alive so we can leave a legacy after we are gone. What we do may be important then who we are.

I've experienced working with terminally ill patients and I find that my personal supervision helps me to contain my own emotional response at a time when it is important for the focus to be on the patient and what they want to achieve (or not) in the time left to them. The supervision enables me to not squash down, ignore or deny inevitable feelings of loss, sadness and questioning that can arise when working with the terminally ill. Working with the terminally ill certainly does bring us face to face with our own immortality in a way in which some parts of western society seems to try to avoid and by acknoweldging my emotional response it enables me to be more resilient in my work. That said there will inevitably be the patient that gets "under our skin" in which case my advice would be to be kind to yourself, find a good clinical supervisor and extend the same compassion that you would to a patient to yourself.

I have not experience that before , but I think if very important person in my life become terminally ill I will become so sad but at the same time should become strong as possible as I could to reduce his bad feeling about disease because treating the disease is not only by medications but also depend on psychological situation of the patiant

This is really sad. We have all to sympathize with Patients whose health situation cannot be cured and hopeless.
