The number of ovules is associated to the number of seeds. There is any nutritional or genetic effect in determining the number of ovules in the ovary that culminate to the number of seeds in the mature fruit?
i think that genetic code is determine the number of ovules in pod ...how ever how much of them remain mature or unmature is depend on biotic or abiotic factor
This is a very interesting point. Biotic or abiotic factor seems to be limiting factor. I am just thinking if the stress come during the flower formation it can cause ovule damage or abortion .
