I have some actual data from a shoe factory, and I'm performing process capability tests on the data by Minitab. Unfortunately, the process is incapable, and my boss has asked me to mark the data that caused this problem, but I don't know how to do such a thing. Does anyone have the same experience or know a way by which I will be able to perform this task ?

Determining the cause of an incapable process isn't about marking data points, but understanding the process's variability and stability. Use the control charts in Minitab to identify trends and outliers. Ensure process stability over time and verify that your measurement system isn't adding to variability. If these aren't issues, conduct a deeper process improvement study to identify the root causes of high variability. Remember, capability analysis shows process performance, not the reasons for it.
