My current analysis of the beta-diversity of edible (seed and fruits utilized for food by rural communities) and inedible forest trees in the tropical rainforest of southern Nigeria. What could possibly explanation for no trend in beta-diversity with altitude for the edible species? Yes, it means the same almost the same species exist with altitude. Could this be due to the scale of the study? Could it be as a result of zoochory? Could it be as a result of disturbance?

Please, if you have done a similar study, I'll very much appreciate a link to read up on your findings.

Thank you.
