I am using Peptone-Glucose-Yeast extract (PGY) along with P2 stock as production media and the lyophilized spores were activated using RCM and glycerol stock was prepared. But in batch fermentation performed for 5 days straight, the two products produced are ethanol and acetic acid. What could be the reason for butanol not getting formed. I maintained the initial pH at 6.8.
