What could be the main reason for getting a whitish/foggy surface on perovskite substrates?

These substrates have been thoroughly washed and coated with an SnO2-EDTA complex and a perovskite solution of MA and PbI3(in glove box). What do you think could be the main reason for it to look like this?

What I think is Dithiothreitol. As it is water-soluble and does not form a precipitate. But, the thing is it contains sulphur which is quite hazardous to aquatic animals.
