What could be responsible for the non-amplication of a reference gene in a multiplex assay?

What could be responsible for the non-amplication of a reference gene in a multiplex assay. The the other two targets amplified but the third (my reference gene) didn't. It however showed amplification in a singleplex.

What could be wrong, or what run set-up do I need to re-look?
