Very interesting question. You have provided the most important key terms that are sufficient to define the domain of interest. However, the terms 'sustainability', 'cloud adoption' and 'organization' are rather broad. Constructing a proper research model, on the one hand, would need further concretization of these terms and the research problem/challenge and, on the other hand, would also need a specification of the research phenomenon to be addressed. I suggest you to elaborate on these issues before starting the construction of any research model. Please see the paper attached. Success! I.H.
Imre Horvath Thank you for your feed back. My plan is to explore on how a cloud technology specifically a cloud based document management system is being adopted and ultimately being used for the intended purpose with in the context of a humanitarian organization. examiners at my proposal stage told me it is a good topic but i need to come to the clear methodology on what I will be using as a lens on doing the research. I am thinking about the TOE model combining it with sustainability attributes that can comprehensively allow me to answer my research questions. but I am not sure on how proper that is and that is why I am raising the above question
If I make a comment ... A research phenomenon is something that exists naturally out there independently of us or created artificially based on human or other activities. Our first research questions are therefore typically 'what' type of questions (what exists in the form of this phenomena) and then we can go further with questions implying explanatory, or predictive, or controlling related knowledge. This is an importantant consideration if you want to make systematic and rigorous research. The implicit reseach question "how a cloud technology specifically a cloud based document management system is being adopted and ultimately being used for the intended purpose with in the context of a humanitarian organization" is not pointing into this direction. The involved things are formulated too general and imply millions of relationships to study. Also you can do the research in a huge number of contexts. So the topic is good, and a methodology can be proposed, but ..... - but, are my comments useful?
I do not know what is cloud adoption... but I had some research about sustainability... I guess what can integrate cloud-sustainability-organizations is SERVICE THINKING... and service thinking recently have found a strong connection to Design Thinking... therefore, maybe you want to look for ....
