My bacterial cells (Vibrio cholerae) do not grow very well in M9 minimal media supplemented with 0.5 % glucose, 1mM MgSO4 and 0.1 mM CaCl2. They grow extremely slowly and they reach a maximum OD600 of 0.6 after 24h. If I were to supplement them with amino acids to make them grow at a faster rate, I would like to know the optimum concentration of amino acids that I must add to the media.
