You can use these commands to run fixed-effects or random-effects models in Stata:

metan effect_size effect_size_standarderror, fixedi

or

metan effect_size effect_size_standarderror, randomi

You have to replace effect_size by the column including the mean differences and effect_size_standarderror is the column with the corresponding standard errors.
