I am facing a problem with the behavior of wildtype Canton-S flies. When I run a behavioral experiment (Buridan's Paradigm), the flies' typical behavior (object fixation) is absent. I ran the experiments more the once and I tried to increase the yeast content of food, but nothing is helping. Is this a problem that is found in other labs when the stock stays for a long period of time on lab food, etc?
