If you don't mind, could you take a look at these photos (attached) and tell me what you think may have caused the interesting condition in these soles? We observed and photo'd these anomolies on a handful of Rex Soles (Glyptocephalus zachirus) while conducting a biological survey about 3 nmi off Coos Bay, Oregon, in October. Thank you for your input.

It is called tumor in that website: https://www.wildlife.ca.gov/Conservation/Marine/Parasites
What % of the sample was like that? If it is below 10%, can be a one time issue, maybe disappears by the next season. If it is more, watch out. :(
