I have a couple of falcons with collected media from cell cultures. I have been storing them for a year in 4*C. They were collected for an experiment that I hadn't had the chance to finish. My question is, can I perform any analysis on them while they were stored in such conditions for this long? Anything with DNA/RNA/proteins? Or everything is degraded by now? I will appreciate every idea.
What analysis are you trying to do and what are you measuring? I doubt you can do any true biological analysis of a particular cell condition and claim biological significance, but if you just want to extract a protein or some DNA to amplify then give it a go.
If you see that expiration. dates exist with fresh media, you can understand that 1 year stored ones could be degraded, even at 4°c which do not stop degradation or growth (slow motion, not stopped).

Under those conditions you probably at most could get some DNA for a PCR. RNA would have degraded and metal ions in the media would have done heavy damage to DNA and proteins. If the cells expressed any peptidases you will likely find most proteins are also in fragments. Then there is oxidation unless you flushed your media with nitrogen/argon.
