Educators/scientists/teachers write and talk a lot. People judge what is written/spoken and exposed to others. This is happening continuously in politics. What can be the consequences of a single sentence, sometimes perceived as scientifically extreme, for professional or scientific or education-based careers? Any examples?
Academics, nowadays, should suspect the confusing power of technical language, including their own, rather than look down upon the clarity of ordinary words.
- Ordinary words usually convey much more information than the big words of the social scientists, especially when used to describe ordinary actions.
- By giving something an official name, especially a multi-noun name which can be shortened to an acronym, you can present yourself as having discovered something real—something to impress the inspectors from the Research Excellence Framework.

Its true that we talk a lot.. Give a long explanation on any question or subject..
Sometimes it is wasteful but othertimes it is Mandatory to express your view or idea to common people or layman in an elaborated way otherwise one wont get the overall theme subject..
Even a single word has a lot of power. It can enthuse or confuse the one who is the receiver of the massage. Jargon should be used only where the audience is aware of the meaning. Otherwise, people will not understand what the speaker wants to say. Normally, the speaker should use simple language. That is the trend these days.
But jargon has a utility too. Instead of speaking a full paragraph of sentences, one can speak just one word to convey what one means. For example, adversarial, juridification, instrumentalist. Such words however should be spoken only where the audience is aware of what they mean.

Yes, dear Marcel. In Politics, people judge what is written or spoken and exposed to others. Many languge words have more than one meaning, so a politician or a scholar must be aware and specific in the words spoken because sometimes a single sentence can be perceived in another way, either purposely or unpurposely.
We have to avoid miscommunication in our contacts and interaction with others. We should communicate with others clearly and adequately.
I think choosing the right words or sentences in open-access life interviews might not always be easy because of the speed of exchange between those that ask quations and those that respond to questions. Politicians are often confronted with those situations, or not? What about scientists/educators/teachers?
Dear @Marcel, everything spoken fast and often unwisely,in a science or education framework, could do great damage! Less damage can be made by written words as editing is always available.We must be careful in this regard!
The slower method of science/education communication is evidently possible in RG. Whay has been written can be corrected and verified by others
Definitely, even one word or even one letter (e.g. comma) that has not been used appropriately, can do a lot of damage by altering the sense which the writer had intended. That is why, there is a need on the part of the speaker/writer to be very careful in what one speaks/writes.
