Sir Vladimir, I am trying polarization dependence of a transition metal dichalcogenide, polarization dependence PL shows almost a maximum of 3 nm shift at different angles. I am thinking the possible reasons of shift in  PL emission wavelength.

Try to change the orientation of the sample, with a fixed value of the plane of polarization. This will give you food for thought.
